Commander Workshop

What’s new

0.8.0-beta · A clearer, safer workshop

Added: a public introduction, first-deck welcome, searchable help, privacy controls, and report references for unexpected errors.

Improved: six primary navigation destinations, optional Home sections, collection paging, keyboard focus, readable chart tables, and loading placeholders.

Fixed: stale tabs overwriting newer guest saves, missing draft recovery actions, and updates interrupting an open workshop. Updates now wait for your choice.

Guest mode works immediately. Hosted account availability depends on the deployment. Analysis remains advisory; prices and third-party data can be unavailable.

Phase 7 · Adaptive learning

Workshop Lab explains archetypes, mechanical dependencies, similarity and table context. Correct your archetype, compare game plans, run an A/B study, or test budget and thematic changes in Sandbox.

Games now record the build played and optional private learning tags. Reports & Insights turns those observations into coaching reviews, monthly and yearly summaries, and quiet next steps. Standard and Advanced views share the same evidence.

Cloud deployments can publish immutable deck snapshots and versioned card packages, selectively share report sections, refresh knowledge sources, and expose scoped analysis APIs. AI answers gain practical contradiction checks; deterministic tools remain usable without an AI provider.

Phase 6 · Companion ecosystem

Continue work from Commander Companion, keep a Maybeboard, branch named experiments, and reconcile exported deck files with explicit choices.

Probability Lab adds seeded simulations and transparent mana assumptions. Goldfish Lab supports snapshots, while Game Night provides life, commander damage, tokens, and a reviewed post-game save.

Collection Audit connects locations and acquisition. Private concepts, event checklists, saved searches, canonical rulings, and selected-field report sharing support the rest of the deck lifecycle.

Deployments can enable scoped read tokens, signed webhooks, and background price and legality checks. These services are off until configured. Core guest workflows remain available.

Phase 5 · Personal workshop

Deck goals, journals, playgroups, guided deck proposals, collaboration, moderation, private backups, and offline recovery.

Phases 1–4 · The foundation

Deck building, Scryfall imports, deterministic analysis, Deck Doctor, collection tracking, accounts, sync, and controlled sharing.
